The spa thanks its existence to the oil research-drilling started in the ’20s. In 1957 it was so succesful, that a high pressure jet of water from 1282 m deep flared. The fountain was closed right after its discovery, later it was diminished its runoff to 1100 l/min. The first pool was opened in 1962 and it’s still working (pool Nr.5.)

The waters of Bük became qualified medicinal waters in 1965. The spa was declared to medicinal spa in 1973, and to a health resort in 1979.

Nowadays the medicinal spa of Bük, the second greatest spa in the country offers perfect relaxation for every generation. The spa lying on 13 acres, is a real spa complex and is waiting for the guests with 27 pools.

Recommended for: sclerosis, cartilage deterioration, osteoporosis, lumbago, cronical arthritis, gout, rheumatism, etc. Not recommended for: cardic- an circulatory diseases, thrombosis, malgnant tumour, tuberculosis, acute sore complaints, pregnancy.
