Vaskeresztes is a part of the famous wine land of Sopron nowadays, but it belonged to the 6 remarkable wine regions of Vas County in the 18th century.
The historical grade of the village is characterized by its close economic relationsship with Graz, Bratislava, Hartberg, Fürstenfeld, Radskerburg and Vienna.

It’s worth to visit the St. Nicolaus romsan church built in the 15th century, the Holy Trinity statue beside the Pinka bridge, scupltured by the proprietories of the Abbey of Pornó in 1761.
